Responsibility & Care

The hirer is responsible for the safekeeping of the forklift and returning it in the same condition as when you received it. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused by the equipment, whether due to defects or operation.

Insurance

All forklifts must be insured against all risks. The cover should cover the hire charge from the time of any loss to the time of settlement.

Hirer Responsibilities

Hirer is responsible for:

Checking battery distilled water levels
Check oil and water levels and general safety
Repairing punctures and replacing tyres when worn at own cost
Insurance against loss, damage, 3rd party claims
Tightening wheel nuts, making sure tyres are suitable for the operation.
Advising us if the equipment fails or is unsafe
Not using if defective and advising us if maintenance is required
Emailing us notice of termination
Hire charges until the equipment is returned
Safer operation by qualified drivers
Do not use in wet conditions/rain

Location

The forklift must remain at the site where it was originally delivered. If you do need to move it, you must first seek consent from Southern Forklift Services Ltd. If you need a replacement or additional machines, these same terms will apply.
